The Promise of Hope The eerie solitude of a late fall trek through a burned forest in Central Oregon inspired “The Promise of Hope.” On that fall day, the cobalt sky shifted to a clouded smoky gray creating shadows and reflections that tracked us, a cool breeze wove through the trees and the forest told its’ sorrowful story with a language of groans, creaks and cries.
